Even if you find that house elsewhere, however, you can still take advantage of our professional and friendly service to oversee your purchase and ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible from offer through to completion.

The hassle-free homebuyers’ package has been developed to take the stress out of your purchase of a property in France. Take advantage of our 10 years’ experience of overseeing property purchases in the region and relax in the knowledge that everything that needs to be done will be done at the right time. We will:

• Explain the buying process and keep you informed of progress at every stage
• Take you through the initial contract (compromis de vente) line by line to ensure that you know exactly what you're signing
• Act as your English-speaking point of contact, liaising with the French agent and the Notaire on your behalf
• Inform you of when monies are due and how to transfer them, and confirm that they have arrived safely
• Set up a date for the final signing
• Accompany you to the Notaire's office for the final signing to act as interpreter and ensure that everything runs smoothly
• Arrange for a power of attorney to be drawn up if you cannot be present for the final signing (there are additional legal costs involved in this)
• Put you in touch with relevant experts regarding French mortgages, currency transfers, legal and inheritance advice, as required
• Set up buildings and contents insurance from the date of final signing if desired
• Change electricity and water accounts into your name and arrange for bills to be sent to a UK address (if required)
